Black Friday Sale - Larsson & Jennings

Is there any accessory that you always wear no matter where you are going - let it be for grocery shopping, that important meeting or for a glam night out? For me, there are days when I wear minimal or no jewellery but I always wear my watch. There was a time when I wasn't fond of wearing a watch..However these days I love it and always, always wear it (same like most of you!).
Couple of years back, I wanted a very sleek and contemporary watch with modern aesthetics and I stumbled on the brand - Larsson & Jennings. They are British brand famous for their Swiss made quartz watches and they have a solid line of unisex lines which are classic and does not break the bank ! Most of their collections come in a variety of finishes, including plain stainless steel, rose gold-plated, yellow gold-plated, and black PVD-coated. The sizes range from 26mm to 40mm with mesh bracelets and leather straps available too.
This year black friday has come early at Larsson & Jennings and they have a 40% off on their entire range of watches.  Check them out here and I'm pretty sure you will find a christmas gift for yourself or your partner..
Beauty below was a surprise gift from my partner and I absolutely love it and I get endless compliments whenever I wear it.Minimalistic design of this  Lugano Sloane, combined with the metallic strap of this beautiful timepiece makes it so easier to style with any outfit..

Millennial pink leather customised with her initials - that definitely scores you brownie points with your girl friend/wife. This limited edition homage to classic Lugano style (the one above) is versatile for every occasion.

Korean 7 Skin Method

Like many of you, I'm absolutely obsessed with Korean Beauty. Compared to western skin care, I believe K Beauty routine provides much faster results and its no wonder, as they are way ahead in terms of skin care innovation. The BB Cream that you use every morning, sheet masks that gives you a ghost face while on and glowy face after you take it off, cushion compact that is always there in your handbag - they all originated in Korea. They were the first ones to use ground breaking skin care ingredients such as snail mucus and bee venom along with effective western ingredients to give that flawless skin. For Koreans, skin care is part of holistic approach to well being- attention to skincare and beauty is deeply ingrained in their culture and weekly spa trip is a family affair !
When I first started researching K-beauty products, I was inundated with products and information that was available online. So I'm planning to do a series of posts to share all the wee info and my favorite K-Beauty products.  Lets start off with '7 Skin Method' as its winter months and our face could do with an extra bit of hydration.

Sezane - A Parisian Love Story

If you need a bit of French fashion fix, Sezane should be your go-to destination. Sezane is France's first online fashion brand .. It started off as an e-bay store to standalone brand and they now have stores in Paris and Newyork. They have such gorgeous collection of iconic french fashion from cosy chic knits to dreamy lace tops and some stunning coats perfect for these chilly months. Of all the brands that I have discovered from Instagram, Sezane is undoubtedly my absolute favorite. Only downside with Sezane is they are always Sold Out online, so you need to act fast when they release their monthly capsule collections. They are currently doing free shipping to UK until end of this year, or if you are based in London they have a Christmas Boutique open at South Molton Steet until 23rd December. Here are a few of my favorites that are in stock currently but a word of warning - it may be sold out by the time you check there !
Hooded coat in camel - arrg ! why is it sold out in my size?!?

That Perfect Christmas Tree !

As Christmas approaches, first thing that you think about to get your home festive ready is taking that old tree out of your storage/buying that perfect Christmas tree. As this is our first Christmas at our flat, we thought of putting up the tree a bit early and enjoying the festive vibe even though we are not around during Christmas. There is something magical in the air during Christmas with all the waterfall and fairy lights and this is the season to just forget all our worries and enjoy the little things in life and be happy.

Brand Focus - ASTRID & MIYU

Astrid & Miyu does not need any introduction !Delicate and statement jewellery pieces are a trend lately with so many small brands cropping up and advertising heavily on Instagram and cream of the crop is Astrid & Miyu. They are definitely one of London's finest contemporary jewellers and has fast become a favorite amongst celebrities, bloggers and fashion editors.
Best part about their stunning line of minimalistic jewellery is that they are super affordable and quality is equivalent to fine jewellery that you buy from ridiculously expensive brands. I first discovered them in early spring and bought this stunning ear cuff which I have been reaching out almost every day. I wear it to work paired with my other every day studs, during weekends with my statement earrings and sometimes when I'm not in a mood to accessorise, I just wear it on its own. Needless to say I get compliments whichever way I wear it (Link to buy this cuff is here).

Brand Focus - FINERY LONDON

If you love contemporary designs, then you will love Finery London . Its an online women's wear brand based in London with such versatile clothes and jewellery that you can wear every season. With a mix of cool and elegant collection at high street prices, Finery is a favorite among the fashion crowd. This time I'll post a few of my favorite from Finery which will be perfect for this crappy weather as London seemed to have skipped autumn and is not there with winter yet !
Starting off with this pink, fluffy high neck jumper. In my office they always take a few days in run upto winter to get the temperature right. So on few days, it feels like Dubai Summer and Artic winter during the rest. This lovely jumper is for days like those where you are shivering and gets soup for lunch ! Relaxed fit of the jumper is so versatile to pair with a pencil skirt or with skinny jeans for that weekend coffee run.

If bohemian, gypsy style swing dresses and beautiful prints are your jam, then you will absolutely adore clothing from Kiss the Sky.  Printed separates, swing dresses with tassels, tie dye prints - their collection gives festival  feel and gives a very moon child vibe !
I have seen their collections stocked at quite a few smaller online boutiques. However as I have bought only from ASOS, I will recommend buying only from there. Here are a few of my favorite collections stocked at ASOS.
This lovely off- shoulder top with flutter sleeves is perfect to pair up with short or a lace skirt and for the colder months with a jeans like the pic below !

Brand Focus - MISSOMA LONDON

I recently stumbled upon the beautiful instagram page of Missoma London and it was definitely love at first sight. With stunning collection of everyday jewellery that includes gold, rose- gold and silver pieces, you would want to add literally each and every piece to your shopping bag.
Its quite rare to find London based jewellery brands that are affordable, stylish and unique. After being on their dreamy website for ages deciding on which one to buy, I chose this stunning 18ct Gold star and moon earrings. Unlike few other brands that I have tried, these pretty ones are of excellent quality and I'm reaching out to these more as they go with almost with everything in my wardrobe. Gold plated jewellery from Missoma are guaranteed for 1 year and they do free re-plating within 1 year period.

Brand Focus - ASOS WHITE

ASOS does not need any introduction. You would have shopped there for your basics, on trend fast fashion, cool accessories or atleast have scrolled through their endless pages of fashion heaven.
ASOS' own brand ASOS WHITE is my favorite with its soft colours, minimalistic cuts, sculptured silhouettes and geometric patterns on their clothes. Their day time friendly collection is a must have for those summer travels and days in the sun. Here are a few of my favorites.
First up is this beautiful Woven Jacquard top with statement sleeves. Statement sleeves are going to be in for a good few more seasons. This can be dressed down with a black trouser or pencil skirt for work or with a leather skirt with a sexy red heels for the up coming christmas dinners. Red accent on the zip line adds a nice touch and gives a high end vibe to this stunning top.

Brand Focus - UTERQUE

I'm starting a new series here that will focus on brands that I am loving currently and my favorite pieces from their current collections.
Starting off with Uterque- a sister brand of Zara. Unfortunately they do not have a physical store in London. However they do ship to UK with delivery cost of £3.99. I call myself a Zara addict - half of my closet is Zara and I love playing around with various Zara pieces mixing prints, textures, silhouettes. I was not aware of this big sister of Zara until a few months ago but now I am obsessed. They have similar style clothing with a bit more higher price point. Minimal, luxurious - Uterque is the perfect site for all your statement buys. Here are a few that I am lusting over currently..
Love the statement sleeves on this Sweater with Metal ring Detail . This sweater can be worn in spring, fall and winter with the sleeves popping out of your coat

Malta - Photo Journal

Couple of months back we visited Malta, one of the smallest countries in the world.  Tiny it may be, but this was one of the most beautiful and vibrant country that we  have visited. We fell in love insanely with turquoise blue waters, delicious food and happy vibe of this island nation. It wasn't just picture perfect azure waters, but there's lots of history to this place right from prehistoric era and it is said that Malta could potentially be the Lost City of Atlantis!
Here are a few  photo highlights from that amazing weekend.

Lunch at Jamavar London

My blog is slowly evolving into a food diary - thanks to a foodie husband ! Few weeks back we decided to go to Jamavar, a high end Indian restaurant by Leela Group.
Located in Mount Street, Mayfair Jamavar's interior style features mirrored walls, brass lanterns and screams old school bollywood elegance.

We went there for their Set Menu for lunch but ended up having both Set Menu and 7 course tasting menu :D
First off we ordered Rose and Rhubarb Lassi and Thandai from their non-alcoholic menu. They were quite refreshing as it was a surprisingly warm spring day in London. Thandai could have been better as it was too sweet for our liking !

When our lovely waiter asked we would want to have some papads, we were more than happy to
(supposed that they were included but was surprised to see it in the bill - However no complaints as chutneys were as delicious as it could get). Plus they also had banana fries which seem to be taking over appetiser scene in London restos recently !

Our three hour food rampage started with Kasundi Paneer with Mint and Raw Papaya Chutney. Its difficult to find well flavoured Paneer in London restaurants. This one though, just melted in our mouths.

Then came best dish of that noon, Pan Seared Achari Pork with quail's egg and pickled garlic. Just writing about it makes me wanna go there and order 2-3 servings, sigh ! Pork was definitely kept marinated for long and slow cooked. Apparently this dish is not part of their main menu and its there only on the lunch and early dinner menu. I will say go for Set menu, just for this yummyness - Period.

Tandoor Chop House

Being married to a guy who never likes to repeat restaurants has its own perks - I get to try some absolutely amazing food. After a few days at Malta, we were craving for some spicy Indian food and decided to try out Tandoor Chop House. We had made reservations multiple times but could never go till now and  instantly booked it when we saw tables were available.

Hailed as the new 'Dishoom', this place is just off the Charing Cross Station perfect for city bankers and tourists to Trafalgar Square. We went there with couple of our good friends ( Beer and Prosecco buddies!) but all of us were just in the mood to hog.

Decor is very hyggeligt (new add to my vocab, thanks to 'The little book of Hygge')..

Spring Favorites

Finally it is Spring in London ! Blooms are blooming, days are getting longer , there are pastels every where and it is the tulip season.

Albeit owning an iPhone for last few years, I discovered the portrait mode just this week and quality of photos is stunning. So while I was chucking things to my weekend bag, I thought I will try a flat lay as I have never done it before but have spent eons looking at them on Instagram and Pinterest.

Hope you love this photo story xx

Happy 2017

Happy New Year My Beautiful Friends !

It's been a while since my last post. Even though I want to blog more, I have been so busy with work and other things that I forgot I had a blog! So this year, I have decided I will try to keep my blog as more of a photo journal and I hope to post about things that I love apart from fashion - restaurant reviews, beauty finds, interior design, travel and make this more of a life style blog (Read - a bit of a chaotic mess). Chances are sky high that I may just post barely couple of times like last year - but hey ! you start off a year high on optimism.

So here goes my first post from this year featuring few of my absolute favourite buys from last year :)

There is always an excitement when holidays are coming up. And it gets doubled when you are planning to visit family and friends.

On the way to India, we decided to stop over at Dubai for few days and luckily, weather was just so perfect! Plan was to catch up with friends and to just relax after a crazy few months at work.

It felt so good to be in somewhere warm and sunny after last few grey and gloomy days in London. I decided to wear something very bright and colourful and wore this lovely mustard dress from Zara. If you know me well, I'm a bit of Zara addict and have this habit of buying clothes and not wearing them for almost a year. As London is full of Zara addicts like me, you will most likely find yourself in a tube with at least a couple of people wearing same Zara jackets or tops. So safest bet is to lock them away for a few months or a year and then take it out (Yes, I'm weird like that).

I prefer flowy shift dresses on holidays and this one was so perfect for day of sight seeing. Rather than wearing my go-to white Converse, I wore this white mules which was surprisingly as comfortable as the Converse. Mules are not everyone's cup of tea but I love them as I find them easy to style with both denims and dresses. Here are a few pics from my trusty iphone !

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a lovely 2017 !
