Love of Florals

Nothing spells spring and summer like florals ! Let it be a lovely top worn with denims, statement blazers, flowy maxi dresses or even bikinis or kimono cover ups, floral print elevates your style quotient to whole new level. I have always been a fan of Zara and it is my go to brand for literally everything. Now as we are nearing end of summer, I want to feature this lovely tulip print dress from Zara.

This is one of the best purchases for me this year and deserves its own post :-)

As this dress has now been Sold Out, I have added few alternatives . Go ahead and rock it before you have to cover up in coats and boots  !

City walls of Dubrovnik

While googling about Dubrovnik, I stumbled on this quote by George Bernard Shaw - "Those who seek paradise on earth should come to Dubrovnik". Big words -  That got my hopes all high and Dubrovnik sure did live up to all the expectations.

Here are a few pics from this beautiful walled city which they fondly call 'Pearl of Adriatic'.  This post is focussing only on the city wall and beautiful walk on it. It is one of the best ways to see this magnificent city that was built centuries ago.

First pic that we took of City walls 💙

These city walls were initially built in 9th century to protect the city and now they are part of UNESCO Heritage Sites (More history on their WIKI page :)). It is quite a climb to get to top of these walls especially during summer months, but gorgeous views of these terracotta roofs with Adriatic Sea in background makes it totally worth the climb.

Another view from city walls ! Though it's only a 2 mile walk make sure to stock up on water..

Or have an ice cream ! Yep , I had 2 of these as  my breakfast 🙈

And the walk continued ..

Look at the color of sea ..

Happy souls kayaking to nearby Lokrum island! I was such a chicken and backed out but if you have strong arms definitely fun to kayak to nearby islands. Sea was so calm, so serene ..

Another view.. By the way Dubrovnik is Kings Landing for those of you who watch Game of Thrones ! Game of Thrones locations can be found all around the city and there are quite a few tour companies and local run walking tours.

How can I not mention Cafe Bar Buza ! Perched on the cliffs by the city wall, this cafe bar has most stunning location.  There is an old wooden sign with an arrow that says "Cold drinks with the most beautiful view" and indeed it was - we went there twice during our stay :)

There are so many islands nearby and it's definitely recommended to do an island hopping tour.. The view as you sail away from the city is so beautiful ..

And now to fashion! Off shoulder and cold shoulder dresses are a big trend this season. So I wore this beautiful  tiered off-pink dress from ASOS. It's so roomy and airy and was perfect for hot humid day at Dubrovnik.

Unfortunately I do not have any close up shots of this dress , but pretty sure you are enjoying the beauty of Dubrovnik rather than looking at my dress in these pics !

And these ones are  from Cafe Bar Buza !

There are hundreds of pics from this trip. But may be for a different post ! Hope you enjoyed .. Thanks for reading !x

Chick 'n' Sours X Hoppers Collab!

Today's post is all about yummy fried chicken goodness.

Sobin is on a culinary quest in London and he has taken me to so many new places which I wouldn't usually go to. I mean, I will never venture out to Dalston to try a new restaurant. But this one is special - Chick 'n' Sours.

We have been drooling at all the chick n Sours' fried chicken pics on Instagram lately. So when we heard that they are teaming up with Hoppers, we made reservations immediately. And... what a brunch it was !

Chick 'n' Sours serve only free- range, herb fed chicken from local farms and that reflects on taste of chicken..

Check out their Hoppers Collab special menu..

Took us a while to decide what we want..

Cocktails were a bit sour with a SriLankan influence via Cinnamon and Cardamom (Kept it true to the name and collab)

 First up, Szechuan Aubergine.
Coated in a light batter and garnished with chillies, spring onion in a pool of spicy sour soya sauce. I love Aubergines and this one is easily one of the best Aubergine dishes I have tried.
 Awesomely awesome Hot Chicken Wings.
This was a superior version of buffalo chicken wings that we have tried in other London joints. It was more of hot and sour flavour rather than pure spicy one. Anyways, finger lickin' good (They had a pic of KFC Granpa with a cool glasses on their wall - just remembered that I forgot to take that pic !)

House fry next and this one puts all fried chickens to shame. Let the picture speak for its crispyness.
And oh, there was pickled watermelons too.
Hoppers tenders with Chilly and Tomato Chutney- ah, where do I begin about this chutney.Absolutely loved it. Crispy tenders dipped in this spicy chutney was a match made in heaven.

And we ended it with a Cinnamon Soft Serve that had jaggery crunch and toasted rice. Unfortunately we do not have any pic of this one but it was so light and delish that we really wanted to order another one !

Truly great brunch, in a lovely little place. And look how our bills came :)

We will be going back there soon for their Burgers !

And finally OOTD pic in front of my lovely mirror !

Hope you enjoyed reading this x

Butterfly effect

So here goes my second post!

This happy happy yellow dress from ASOS has summer and beach written all over it and was my go-to dress last summer. Beautiful flute sleeves gives a butterfly vibe and as you can see from the pics I was happily fluttering away.

I have always loved yellow and grey combination and have been searching for a dress in that combination since ages. And in my pursuit for yellow and grey found this beautiful yellow and white dress in ASOS.

Hope you enjoy x

It's all about blue .. !

Ah, finally..!

I wanted to start a blog since my Undergrad days, but as they say better late than never.. !

Here are a few pics from our recent trip to Mykonos. I decided to go with the cliche colour palette for Greece and wore blue and white on one of the days. Mykonos is a true blue and white heaven and I wanted to camouflage in :)

Hope you enjoy ! x
